The principal artist at Merry Brush is Sianne Shepherd.

Sianne first started face painting as a charity volunteer in 2005, and fell in love with both the artistry and the joy that face painting brings to kids of all ages.  She set up Merry Brush as a business in April 2014 (after realising that she couldn't afford to keep painting without being paid!) and invests in the best equipment and products to provide a superior service for her customers.

 

Continuous skill development is important to Sianne, and she has attended training workshops with industry leading face and body painters from all around the globe.   The investment in training has been rewarded with awards and competition wins in both face and body painting, and the desire to continue improving and challenging herself will never go away..

Sianne is inspired by many wonderful face and body painters such as Olga Murasev, Dutch Bihary, Natalee Davies, Matteo Arfanotti, Sarah "Scarer" Smith, and Elodie Ternois.

According to Sianne, "There is no better feeling than the 'mirror moment' - that moment when the person in your chair sees their face in the mirror after being painted, and their reaction of surprise and joy.  How can I not love my job when it makes people so happy!"
